Hi everyone! It's the last week of Christmas shopping! Yikes!! Has everyone made their list and checked it twice?? Well here's one item you might have forgotten... Give to those less fortunate than us. I know in this economy many of you are thinking things are pretty bad and you have little to spare. So I will make it easy for you to "give". For every comment on this post I will donate one can of food to Second Harvest of Santa Clara . All you have to do is click on "Comment" below this post and leave me a comment. The comment be about anything, a Christmas memory, a story about your childhood favorite toy, your favorite movie, or maybe a fund raiser/charity you have helped out/participated in the past. I will be counting up the comments and dropping of cans to Second Harvest on Monday December 29th, so be sure to comment by Sunday the 28th and tell everyone you know. Remember 1 comment = 1 can!!!
Many other photographers worldwide are also participating in "Cans for Comments". Vancouver photographer Kristel Wyman has a list posted here , be sure to comment on other photographer's pages as well!

Can you leave more than one comment per person? My comment is that this is a great idea! Second Harvest has an excellent well-organized volunteer program too if you time to spare for a great cause!
Thank you, I used to receive food assistance and know how much of a difference Second Harvest makes.
Saw on Facebook that you're doing this, and I think it's great. I'm doing a similar thing on my blog, where I'm donating $1 for each comment. http://tinyurl.com/6qs9es
I hope people will come visit us both to double their impact!
This is a really big help for people in need in our community. YOU ROCK
awesome of you to be contributing!!!! =)

Yay Mariana! The size of the need is scary, and every little bit, every can helps. Gotta go make Christmas cookies for the Montgomery St. homeless shelter... happy can-donating!

Can you dig this? Yes I can.
Hi Mariana,
Happy to help, and this is a really good thing you're doing.
BTW, those cans? That's not all you have in your pantry is it?

Saw your comment at Maura's blog and thought I'd leave a comment over here as well.
Have a Merry Christmas and Prosperous New Year. This is a very nice idea and I'm doing the same.
